One price tag FIVE ways: Let's hear it for the GIRLS
Posted on 13 April 2017
Last week we launched our cause tees, and we were completely overwhelmed with the support we received! With only a handful left on the shelf, our first reorder is on the way. So this week we are talking about the price you paid for the cutest, comfiest tee shirt in your closet, and how it will help young girls in the Fort reach their full potential!
Home is the place that allows you to reset and prepare to go out into the world again. Without a stable home environment, these girls (age 12-17) are carrying around adult-sized problems. The shelter creates a home base for them.
2. Food, Transportation, Clothing + Personal Items
Basic needs like meals, transportation, and clothing are often taken for granted by those of us who have them. A kid without these things can only think about these things. Thankfully the shelter provides them.
3. Case Management + Counseling
Many of the residents of the shelter have experienced abuse, homelessness, or a parent in prison. The shelter offers counseling to the residents and their families in order to get them back on track.
4. Job + Money Management Skills
The shelter looks beyond their residents current situation by teaching them crucial skills to secure a stable future.
At the end of the day, we just want to feel like we matter. We want to be heard no matter what our situation is, and the shelter is providing that listening ear for these ladies.
Let's hear it for the girls!
All of the provided information was taken from the shelter's website or social media pages. We encourage you to visit their site to gain more insight and to make additional donations in the future.
Check out our super talented friend Ashley of AB Lewis Photography who shot the images we are using to promote our cause tees. (She bought the peach tee in case you're wondering!)
